The Northeast has long been considered one of the world's most renowned areas of engineering talent, innovation and quality and we love getting stuck-in with photographing industrial excellence, so the opportunity to shoot for Blyth-based complex sheet metal manufacturers, Universal Wolf, was not to be missed.
Universal Wolf pride themselves on being a bit different; they thrive on being a team, a pack that works together. We were briefed on bringing the characters, craftsmen and craftswomen that manufacture extraordinary creations from metal to life. We wanted them to ooze confidence through our photography and to make the images really stand-out from the normal when it comes to shooting in a challenging working industrial environment. Many competitors would have simply asked us to shoot their latest lathe or metal bending machine, so to be able to concentrate on the people was like a breath of fresh air. Careful consideration was given to very precise lighting, we made sure that all of the photography had a uniform feel to it so that all of the shots work seamlessly together, yet can work individually too, but still be instantly recognisable as "Universal Wolf".
The photography formed the basis for a brand new website, email signatures, contact cards, social media posts and editorial articles.
